The egg outlook doesn’t show ’ any encouragement for the week to come. New York dropped off 4 I* 5c last week, and if Virginia follows suit as usual, our prices will come down some more, though not that much.
Richmond price last week was off 2c for Grade A Large at 37c; Mediums at 33c; Harrisonburg was 1 to 2c off for A Larges at 34-36c; steady on mediums at 32- 34c and Roanoke was 1 to 2c off on Larges at 36-37c; steady at 33- 35c for mediums. New York topped at 36c for A Larges; 35c for mediums. „ ' The only peg to hang these dower prices on is a oonsirerable alow-up in demand and maybe a lot of hatching eggs coming into marketing channels. The Februtry supply is running snout neck and neck with last year, and die rate of lay is just slightly lower for the first time in many monns.
A school lunch buying program which is due Co start right soon should help some.
