State Income Tax which has been past due since December 5, 1956". Of course it must be obvious to all that most people cannot tell what their income is until the year is ended. The statement that 1956 income taxes are past due on December 5, 1956, proves to me, the kind of people we have elected as our local tax authorities.

I hope that, in 1359, the people will make changes, so that the people will be able to go to the Court House, have their tax problems understood and adjusted fairly. The citizens should not be subjected to unfair tax demands. They should not bt threatened with “garnishment or levy”’ on taxes which are not yet due or arrived at And assessments should be made fairly and equitably, according to law, and without fear or favor— or special interest. I believe the people would like to see some changes made.

Yours very truly,
