Mrs. Florence Wayland Washer, aged 65, well known, beloved principal of the Bentoriville School died suddenly yesterdjay morning in her honae, 538 Bel Air Ave., Front Royal , from a heart attack.
Mrs. Washer, the widow of Allen Washer, was born in Sperry ville.a daughter of John E. and Lorona Brown Waylaid, j
For a period of thirty-seven years Mrs. Washer nad been a teacher in public schools of Warren-Rappahannock counties. At one time she had taurfit schools of South Care the past fourteen yea been principal of thq Ueritdnviljfc school.
Mrs. Washer was a person of Christian faith, high integrity and beloved by a host of friends
She was a faithful jnember 0f the First Baptist Churcfj, a, teacher of the Alma Clayton West Sunday School Class, and a deaconess of that church, an active jnetnber of the Front Royal Chapter No. 6. Order of the Eastern Star and jpas currently serving as Conductress. She was a member of the Business and Professional W oman’s Club and a member of the Music Study Class.
Survivors are three! brothers: Julian E. Wayland, andj John H. Wayland, Sperryville aid i James M. Wayland of Front Rjoyal; also two siisters, Mrs. Conrad R. Bilz of Seattle, Washington;!and Mrs. Joseph Pauze of Woodvjillei seven nephews and four neicesj.
