The Rev. Dr. Clarence wj. Cranford, pastor of Calvary Bapl tist Church, Washington, D. C., has been elected president of the American Baptist Convention. Dr. Cranford is a former president of the Washington Federation of Churches.
Many persons from Rappahannock, moving to Washington, D. C. have become members at Calvary and Dr. Cranford has visited here with the late J. Barret Carter- They will be glad to have news of him.
