There has been more activity going on in Rappahannock County lately than has been seen in this section for many a* day. It shows that not only the Jamestown Comir'ttee, has put forth j. lot of thought and hard work, but that the people of Rappahannock have lent a helping h-’itd and gone all out in making the efforts of the Committee a tremendous success.
The tour of homes could not have been nicer. Between two. and •' three hundred people availed themselves of the privilege of seeing these hanies. People from different parts ~f Virginia were here, and also ^olks from South Carolina, New vork, California and Cana- ' da. n'•marks such as these were heard on all sides, “I haven’t seen ,4 so manv old friends in years”—< ”Williar- hurg has nothing on ^ these old Vines in Rappahannock” and “I’ve never seen anything any- ’ where to ompare with the floweg arrangements.” _ - - ' 4

The display of old maps‘and documents was well attended and certainly enjoyed. The Committee was complimented many times on the varied supply of authentic and interesting materials which they ' gathered together.
