Luetnma Grigsby, age 71 years, and a former resident of Washington, Rappahannock County, Va., and a sister of Mrs. Havanna Jeffries, proprietor of the Pine Knot Inn, died after a short illness in a Brooklyn Hospital, on Wednesday, August 7th.
Her remains were brought here by train from Brooklyn, N. Y„ for burial in the family cemetery at Washington. Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church, Washington, on Sunday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. C. Davis.
The pallbearers were John Jordan, Allen Rhodes, Lewis Butler, Ruben Aylor. Webster Fletcher and Thomas Wigington.
Parents: All seventh grade pit-, pils planning on entering George Washington Carver in the fall, please sign the grade placement statements and return the same to Miss Van Anden’s office at once. They must be in her office before school starts next month. Thank you.
