Invites Local Artists
For Seal Contest
. 1959 will bp the Ciolden Anniversary of the founding of the Virginia Tuberculosis Association. To honor , the state association in its jubilee year, the National Tuberculosis Association has announced that rhe Christmas Seal for that year will be designed by a Virginia artist. Any artist who is a resident of this state is invited to submit his design and the national association will award a $500 prize to the vj inner.
Designs for the Christmas Seal are chosen in October by a national committee, two years before the design is used. The 1050 design, therefore, will be chosen in October 1957 and all entries must be in the hands of the committee no later than September 6. 1957. They may be submitted to the local tuberculosis association or to the Virginia Tuberculosis Association, lid South Third Street, Richmond. Virginia.
