ley Cnapnjan and Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Wake entertained at open house in honor of the fiftieth wed,ding anniversary of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Vance Chapman. Friends ap^ relatives from out of town called at the home from one o’clock until four in the « afternoon. Frorn\ five until eight friends randj relaties in the county • called on Mr and Mrs. Chapman. About one hundred guests wished the couple many, many more years of happiness together.

Mr. and Mrs. Chapman have besides their three children, five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
