Now the door knob was being turned—in a minute he would meet his doom. Oh, if only he had bothered to have that lock fixed! He would have had time to scream for help! Then the door burst open. He fired f the creature stumbled and he fired -again. Now die thing lay face down on the floor in a pool of blood. He stood up and walked over to the body then finally getting up enough courage, he rolled it over. He gasped and fell to his knees—he had shot his brother!
