DOINGS
Last Monday evening, a week ago, eleven boys started the 4-H Tractor Maintenance ‘ Project in Culoeper receiving instruction at J. A. Swan, Jr. & Co.
Eddie Sutphin of Flint Hill, instructed Unit A of the project - while Mr. McKee of Culpeper instructed Unit B. We were pleased that Mr. Raymond Sutphin will be able to be with us again this year and he has offered to instruct one of the Units at a later meeting.
Friday, while all of our 4-H Club members were enjoying a long weekend, it made rit a good time to see how some of the club members were progressing with their out-of-school projects. Driving down the F. T., I stopped by to see Eddie and Donald Gore. < Eddie has a cross bred gilt as his project and I saw Donald’s pine seedlings he put out last spring. Donald will also be helping out with our Tractor Maintenance Project. Continuing on down the Valley, I stopped in to see Walter B. Kilby’s baby beef project, a “popping good” Shorthorn calf, and to get him started in working on his Achievement record in Boy’s Agriculture” which will be subContinued on page 8
