A Civil Defense Survival nan has been established in Rappahannock County and it is necessary that all fire companies use the same signals to indicate fires, rescue calls and. air attack. Each fire company and rescue squad has bee ■ notified to put into use the following signals by Warrington’s Birthday, February 22, 1959.

Every citizen of the county should be familiar with the signals so they will realize the meaning of the blasts were* ever they happen to b?. The signal to indicate company me' ings or siren tests is one blast. AH fires in or out of town is two bias s, repeated at one minute intervals; rescue calls, three blasts repeated at one minute intervals? air raid: when the warning sounds a steady blast of three to five minutes thle meatls Attack Alert wailing tone or short blasts for three minutes means Attack—take cover immediately in best available shelter.

Lyne, head of the program in this county, and he will turn in the signal tq the Washington Fire Company’s siren. ^
