Resigns
Rev. A. D.Goodson, pastor of the Methodist ctiurches of the Rappahannock Charge .including Washington, Flint Hill, Willis Chapel and Sperryville has tendered his resignation to become effective April 1, 1959, and has accepted a call to Charlottesville where he will he associate minister of the First Methodist Church. The announcement was made by the District Superintendent, Rev. Kelly at a meeting held Friday evening at the Washington Methodist Church. I
Rev. Goodson with his wife and* daughter Kim have made Rappahannock their home for the past four years.
C. B. Johnson Heads
Red Cross Drive
Mr. John Divers of the Rappaannock County Chapter of the American Red Cross announced today that Mr. C. B. Johnson o^ Woodvilie is the 1959 Red Cross Campaign Chairman. Mr. Johnson is a native of Rappahannock County and is a retired postal transportation clerk.
The goal for Rappahannock this year is $940.
Youth Attend Banquet „ Twenty-seven boys and girls of, the two youth groups of the Methodist Churches attended the Charlottesville. District Youth banquet in Charlottesville Monday evening. They were accompanied by Rev. A. D. Goodson who is director of the youth work in the district. Rev. Goodson was also Master of Ceremonies at the banquet- Emory Russell, Mrs. Virginia Estes, Mrs. Catherine Brown and Mrs. R. W. Brown also attended. There were over 'fourhundred youths and their counselors present.
