Fmr W!es east of Washington. Va. or • ute 211, Thursday afternoon F bniary 5, at 4p.m., a 1954 Ford pick up operated by Stanley Gibbs Miller of Harrisonburg and owned by VVilliam R. Skidmore of “Bridgewater,. went out of control running into the left hand lane of the road, striking a Dodgef station wagon owned and operated, by Jack Alfred Lane of Vienna, Vju Mr. Lane was taken to Fauquier. v Hospital and then to Anderson » Clinic in Arlington by the Washington Rescue Squad. He had a compound fracture of the left arm and intern?! injuries. Mr. Miller suffered cuts and bruises of the face and body, but was not hospitalized. Damages were estimated at $2,0Q0 to $2,500. Mr. Miller was charged with reckless driving by Trooper Buntin, investigating officer.
C. C. Zinn of Amissville, driving a 1954 Chevrolet was- struck head-on by a Mercury driven by Jackie Thorn Rutherford of Warrenton, Friday evening, February 6 in front of Clevengers Restaurant at the intersection of Routes 229-211. Rutherford pulled out of Clevengers in front of Mr. Zrtm . as he proceeded up Route 21! to Amissville. Rutherford was ch ged with reckless driving and no operator’s license. Zinn was treated at Fauquier Hospital for cuts and bruises and released.
