Farm
Last weeks mystery' farm is still a mystery to the force at the News. We do not know whose farms they' are until they are called into the oft ce and we can identify them with the owners. Most guessed this week was the farm of Mr. and Mrs.'’A. W. Yowell at Etlan. We called them and they had not seen the paper so could not positively identify it, however a neighbor assured us that it was “Story' Place’’, the farm of the Yowells.
The 610 acre farm is part of the Champagne Farm owned at one time by Mrs. Mollie Smith. The farm has 30 acres In apple orchards and Mr. Yowell has a herd of 165 Ang\is cattle.
Before retiring Mr. Yowell was Superintendent of public schools in Madison and Green Counties for 28 years. They attend the F. T. Valley Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Yowell have seven children, all married and living away from home, and twenty grandchildren.
“Story Place” was first identified by Mrs. Field Benton who will receive the subscription to the News. Also correctly guessing were Miss Ebba aHitt and Mr. Elliot Hanson.
