Manly J„ Bruce’s fleet, flashy nony, two-times winner at last Saturday’s sporting Rappahannock Point-to-Point, received full mention in the Washington national papers. The black and white pony, Partner, ridden by 12-year-old Billy Dodson, took the %-mile flat race, The Young Entry, xwty from a consistent junior winning team: Miss Lee Greenaway on her Snow Flake. Partner went on to his more spectacular win in the 1%-mfle race, The Colonel Richards Memorial. This terrific little pony, 13.2 hands and 9 years old, after completing his 7-hurdle course had sufficient heart and steam in his final sprit to pull away from a topflight field of, thoroughbred horses (the largest measuring 16.3 hands,) and ito cross the finish line well in the lead. Second over the line was Sneekers, owned by Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Rogers of the Casanova Hunt, ridden by Miss Jeanie Eaten. Sneekers had won the thrilling Point-to-Point the previous week. Third place was taken bv Apt Scholar, owned by Mr. D-xirJd W. Pattersbn of the Qrange County Hunt. r
