Members Sweep S
The second Spring 4-h Show and Sale was held Fanner’ Livestock' Exchange Winchestetr.. Monday, morning with seven Rappahannock Club members exhibiting thirty! lambs. Franco Updike showed the Grand Champion Single lamb which
weighed 92 pounds and sjold for 35c or $32.20. Anna Catherine Sites had the Reserve Champion Single Iamb which sold foil $32.55 weighing 105 pounds at 31c. Billy Sisk showed the Reserve Champion Pen of 3 Which averaged 111 i pounds and sold' for $85.26 or 26V£c a pound.
A total of sixty iambs were exhibited by thirteen club member* from Rappahannock and Page Counties. The show was judged by Charles R. Cooper, Assistant Extension Animal Husbandman from V.P.L who is the 4-H Livestock Specialist. Also exhibiting lambs from die county were Jack Sisk. Milton Gore, Lyle Updike, and David Lyne.
Next Monday members]of the
Livestock Judging Team wijll leave Culpeper by bu« for 4-H Short Course which begins Monday evening, June 22 and continues through Friday, June 26th.
Boys who will be representing the County Livestock J h 4 g i n g Team include Walter B. Kilby, —Randtf Irfidike, Francis lJpdjJke, and Lyie Updike. HarrisonTbwers and Glen Updike each have received a scholarship to Short Course as a result being State and District winners respectively on their 4-H Records sent State 4H Office last April.
