Three persons were injured Saturday, June 13 on Route 211 in’ the town of Washington, Va. when a 1954 2 door Desota driven by Cecil N. Sturgill of Alexandria traveling west went out of control skidding about 180 feet and striking a 1959 Oldmaobile operated by Niola B. ‘Herbert or Lafayette, La. head on. with the left front side of the Sturgell car. >
Injured in the,Herbert car were Eliie I.. Herbert, owner, a passenger in the right front seat. He suffered severe cuts and a fractured right liter cap. Miss Celeste K. W i 1 f e r t, another passenger, of Crawley, La. suffered bruises and cotusionS of the body and a frac- / tured rib. Injuries suffered by Mr. Sturgell were a bruised side, lacerations of the forehead.
They were taken to the Warren Memorial Hospital by the Washington Rescue Squad. Mr. Herbert! and'Miss. Wilfert remained patients. The others were treated and released. Trooper John L. Lowman was investigating officer.
