7th Grade Graduation
At Sperryville
The seventh grade commencement exercises for Sperryville Elementary School was held in the auditorium Tuesday, June 9 with Frank Moffett presiding. The processional and recessional were plajr.dt.by Mrs. George Taylor. Roy * Atkins, Jr. ted the devotions after which the entire group sang "God . "Of Our Fathers”. Susan Schaefer delivered the address of welcome. David Lyne gave a selection, entitled “I Am An American”. A very special feature of the evening was the piano selections by Kay Johnston and Dana Snead and a coronet solo by John Lee Taylor.
I. R. Kilby, Chairman of Rappahannock County School Board, made a short talk. Mrs. Leslie Fox Keyser, guest speaker, gave a timely address, stressing education and encourageing the students to use their efforts toward that goal.
