Outstanding Award
The Rappahannock Chapter of the Virginia Association, Future Homemakers of America, received the Outstanding Chapter award Friday, July 3. This State Award was made at the morning session of the fourteenth annual F.H.A. Convention which met at Hotel Roanoke, Roanoke, Virginia.
Rappahannock Chapter received this award for their excellent program of work which has contributed to the growth and development of each of its members, for the achievement of its members ir» homemaking activities, school and community service, leadership, and public relations.
Miss Shirley Smoot, representing the 80 members of the Rappahannock Chapter, accepted the award. Mrs. Glenna O. Bennett is chapter adviser.
