Sperryville Carnival
July 16-17-18
Thursday, July 16 the Volunteer Firemen of Sperryville will begin three days of fun for all ages with their annual carnival. Highlighting the activities Friday, will be the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. (EST) with more than 60 units including fire companies, from many towns and surrounding communities, majorettes, marching units, floats, horses and ponies and some comical entries. The parade will start at Reynolds Church and end at the Taylor lot where the
Saturday a carnival queen will be crowned and many prizes given away. i
night and on Friday night they will serve a plate dinner.
Donations of pies or cakes will be appreciated. Please bring them to the carnival grounds.
Meeting At Thornton Gap
There will be an all-day meeting the third Saturday in July at the Thornton Gap Primitive Baptist Church. The pastor, Eld. J. Harvey Daily will be assisted by guest speaker Eld. K. W. Yager of Alabama and other local ministers are also expected.
