Latham
Annistead Clifford Latham, prominent farmer of Amissville, died Monday afternoon, July 6, 1959 at his residence after an illness of several months.
He was born in Amissville on November 2, 1881,, the son of the late Richard Latham and Mrs. Mary Ellen Corbin Latham.
Mr. Latham was a member of Amissville Baptist Church and a member of the County Board of Supervisors for 24 years. iHe served on the Draft Board since its existence, was a member of the Welfare Board, Director of RappahanNational Bank and was very active in politics for many years.
Survivors are his widow Mrs. Mary Anderson Latham; two daughters, Mrs. W. L. Payne of. Amissville and Mrs. Harold Carder of Boston, Va. a son, James Richard Latham of Amissville; one sister, Mrs. Mayme Duncan of Amissville; one brother, T. W. Latham, Viewtown, Va. and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. from Amissville Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. John Hodge conducted the last rites.
Pallbearers were Thomas Williams, Herbert Foster, Luther Payne, C. C. Zinn, Ralph Rowzie Wade Massie, Joe Keyser, and Charlie Compton.
