Homecoming At
Oakley Church
Sunday, July 12th is the date set for the Annual Homecoming Services at the Oakley Baptist Church in Gid Brown Hollow in Rappahannock County.
The morning service with a sermon by the pastor, Rev. Joseph Graver will be at 11:30 a.m. followed at 12 :30 by dinner on the grounds. The afternoon service will be at 2:00 p.m. with guest evangelist Rev. Koy Peterson bringing the sermon. Rev. Peterson is pastor, of Bethel, Gourdvine and New Salem Churches in Culpeper Couqty and is a successful revival preacher.
Revival services will continue each night Monday through Friday, July 13 through 17 at 7:45 p.m. with Rev, Peterson as the visiting minister. All members, friends and neighbors of Oakley are urged to attend the meetings.
Baptismal Service
Washington Baptist Church will hold a Baptismal Service on Sunday, July 12 at Cooper’s Hole at 3:00 p.m. V
Candidates for baptism include Jimmy Jenkins, Jonas Jenkins, Dorothy Payne, Linda Payne and Alice Wood.
