Elbert as will be in good movement by about the 8th of August and approximately 50 per cent of the crop is estimated to be of that variety.

Prices to the south of us have been running like this: Spartanburg markets have been paying $2.50 for Elberta variety in the one and one-ninth bushel crates. The Halehavens in Spartanburg have been bringing $2.25 to $2.50. Georgia Elberta’s have been moving at $2.50 to $2.75 a bushel.
