William 0. Norman -
William Oscar Norman, a resident of Five Forks section of Rappahannock County, near Woodville, died at the University of Virginia Hospital, after an illness of three weeks. He was 86 years of age, and enjoyed excellent health up until his last illness, raising a crop of com and carrying on his farm activities as usual.
He was the son of the late James T. Norman and the late Lucy Scott Norman of Rappahannock County. His wife, who was the late Mollie Settle Norman, died June 2, 1949.
He is . survived by eight children, Mre. Lucy Robinson of Woodville; Mrs. Susie Settle of Culpeper; W. B. Norman of Front Royal; Mrs. Raymond Hawkins of Woodville; Mrs. Roscoe Burke of Front Royal; Mrs. Kenneth Fortune of Front Royal and Milton Norman of Woodville. A sister, Mrs. Edward Settle of Culpeper. 27 grandchildren and 12’ great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Five Forks Regular Baptist Church, and his pastor, Rev. Morgan officiated at'the service, which was held from the Geest Funeral Chapel on Wednesday afternoon) Burial was held in the family section of the Forest Grove Baptist Cemetery at Viewtown.
Active pallbearers consisting of grandsons were Charles Cannon, Garfield Burke, Winfrey' Burke, Daniel Norman, Edwafd Hawkins and James E. Settle.
The Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of the arrangements.
