OBITUARIES
Mrs. Loula R. Gilbert
Mrs. Loula Root Gilbert, wife of Otto William Gilbert of Barboursville, died Thursday, June 16 in Martha Jefferson Hospital at Charlottesville, j where she had been a patient for several days. She was 66 years old.
A former resident of Flint Hill, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Mary Dickerson Root of Rappahannock County. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs; Richard Latham of Amissville; four sons, Otto W.. Gilbert, Jr. of Warrenton, John Thomas Gilbert of Martinsburg, \V. Va., and Jackie Gene Gilbert of Marshall; apd six grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Pansy Hmrrison of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Lee Vata Berry of Staunton; and a brother Rodney Root of Staunton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18 from Flint Hill Baptist tChurch of which she was a member. Her former pastor, Rev. John Divers of Waynesboro, conducted the last rites. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va.
Pallbearers w'ere William Weiner, Emory Russell, Moffett Pullen, Joe Jenkins, Herbert Foster, John S. Browning, M. R. Bradford and W. G, Eastham.
Arrangements^ were in charge of Geest Funeral parlors.
