Sentences Suspended
In the Rappahannock County Circuit Court which convened on Monday, July 11 and Tuesday July 12, with Judge R. V. Snead presiding, Doris Marie Richards was found guilty as charged, with trespassing on the property of Bel Air Restaurant in Amissville. She was ordered to pay $10 and costs, and was given a ten day jail sentence which was suspended upon payment of fine and cost and upon the condition that she stay off the premises of Mrs. A. T. Hall’s property (Bel Air.)
Raymond Lee (Shine) Grimsley, who was charged with feloniously stealing a diamond ring, which belonged to Mrs. Margaret H; Eastham. The ring, valued at $500 was taken from the home of , Mrs. Eastham’s father, Mr. Puller Hughes, near Flint Hill. v J. W. Price, Jr. was appointed 5! by the court to serve as council for Grimsley, who entered a plea of guilty. He was sentenced to the state penitenturay for two years. The sentence was suspended and Grimsley was placed on probation under the supervision of the probation officer of the county for 3 years.
