GI Loan Deadline
July 25th
World War II veterans have just a short time left to apply for Cl loans on homes, farms or businesses, VA said. July 25 is the deadline for them to make application to VA for loans.
Once their application is made, an additional year is allowed in which the loan can be processed.
The entire GI direct loan program expires also on July 25. This is the program of direct loans for veterans living in rural areas, small cities and towns, where mortgage money' for the guaranteedtype of loan is not available.
VA pointed out, however, that the deadlines do not apply to guaranteed GI loans for Korean service veterans. They have until January 31, 1965 to make application for guaranteed loans.
A veteran who had service both in World War 11 and Korea may qualify as a Korean veteran.
Veterans may make applications for loans to secure information from any VA office or from the contact representative at any VA hospital. V
