The (reneral Assembly' of Virginia at its last session passed a law to legalize marriages contracted during the waiting period where certain conditions have been met. Any wife or widow, whose social security claim was denied because she remarried during the waiting period, may now qualify for social security benefits, Miss Florence Sch^ffner, Field Representative of the Alexandria Social Security Office, announced today.
Wives and widows affected by the amended law, who are otherwise eligible for social security benefits, should see their social security representative immediately for assistance in filing their claim.

David Pullen is spending a week in Baltimore, Md. with relatives. Miss Shelia Keating left Tuesday for NTew York where she will visit friends and relatives for two weeks. Tuesday night Miss Keating was an over night guest of Miss Judy Hawkins in Washington. D. C. Dr. G.
