I didn’t really promise to write this letter but somehow since I am having such a wonderful 'time I’ve decided to tell you all about it. Of course there are so many things of beauty and interest that I could write about, that 1 11 have to limit this letter to two or three of the most outstanding. We literally zoomed across the Atlantic Saturday night to arrive in romantic and exciting Amsterdam Sunday morning. After a delightful and informative t r i p through some of the city’s S6 miles of canals, we went to- the Zider Zee, which as vou know, will soon be closed off bv a dike and another piece of ocean floor will b-come fertile land. Here the people were dressed in traditional Dutch costume, wooden shoes and all. What a quaint and in.m-ting people ,;-uv are! 1 walked along the top „l a dike and watched the fishing boats coming „i and listened to the melody < W.ttc: and Dutch chatter.
