Last week furnishings arrived by the truck loads—desks, chairs, kitchen equipment, cafeteria tables, cabinets, files. Under the supervision of Principal, H. B. Winfrey, the uncrating and placing of furniture was being done Thursday and Friday. Records, files and library books have been moved from the old building to the new one.
Furnishings and equipment for the school cost $26,600 of which $3,000 was paid by the federal government through the National Defense 'Education Act for science equipment.
Rappahannock County will owe approximately $100,000 for the building.
Though the building is complete, much is yet to be done. Grading, grass seeding, roadways, walks and baseball diamond remain unfinished.

Other elementary schools in the county will be located at Sperryville and Forest Grove. All others will be closed.
