The monthly report of the Virginia Artificial Breeding Association shows Gordon Thornhill, technician for Rappahannock County, had a s6 % increase in first services in July as compared to a vear ago! Our milk cow owners arc to be congratulated for using the services of this organization as it is one of the soundest ways possible of improving the. production and quality of dairy catle.

As evidence oi Mr. Thornhill’s proficiency he had a 79.7 % “n on returns" during the month of May and 85.0% during the month of June as compared to 70.5% and 76.0% for all technicians in the state. Continued on page twelve
