The O. R. Johnson NFA Chapter members in attendance are as follows: William Carter of Madisoe County, sectional winner of the Superior Farmer Degree and $350; James Green of Culpeper County, Sectional winner of the Dairy' Farming Award and $100; James Arrington also of Madison County, State NFA Reporter.
William Carter and James Green were successful winners in competition among other participants in the Washington Section of NFA. The Washington Section comprises the following states: Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

Miss Nay Lawson of Rappahannock County was announced the winner of the Miss Four County Fair Queen Contest for 1960 at a program sponsored by the Regional Agricultural Advisory Council in the Carver auditorium on Friday evening, October 1.
The Queen for 1960 was crowned by the outgoing queen, Miss Georgia Arrington, and presented the first place check in the presence of her adversaries from the other three counties at the close of the four-county talent show. The runner up contestants in second, third and fourth place respectively were Miss Janet Jasper, Madison; Miss Deloris Smith, Orange and Miss Leeta Jamison, Culpeper County.
