Mrs. Veronica Keating has returned to Washington, D. C. after spending a few davs at Jessemine Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Carman of Richmond were over night guests Friday of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller. Sunday dinner guests of the Millers were Dr. and Mrs. Carroll Iden of Beriyville and Joe Keyser.
Mrs. Tom Smoot was called to Maryland Saturday by the illness of her brother-in-law, Mr. French, who continues quite ill.
Mrs. Carson Anderson is suffering from a broken bone in her hand, the "Watkins Wagon” is making its rounds as usual, with Mrs. Allie Huff at the wheel and Mrs. Anderson acting as salesman.
Miss Dolly Hite of Thomasville, N. C. arrived Monday for a visit with Mrs. W. M. Fletcher at Thornton Hill and with other friends and relatives in the county.
A large load of pumpkins was seen speeding down Route 211 on Tuesday. It is not known to whom they belonged but L. V. Merrill says.emphatically.that they are not his!
