These were all charges of breaking and entering. 6. Commonwealth vs John Dodson and Milton Dodson charged with felonious assault. All of the foregoing indictments were returned true bills.
The court appointed J. L. Fray as council to represent Silas Woodard and Roy Lee Burracher and a trial by jury is set for December 20.
Duncan Gibb was appointed by the court to represent Karen Sue Riley and Archie Clarke. No date has been set for the trial.
John and Milton Dodson were arraigned and entered a plea of — guilty to charges of felonious assault. Judge Snead ordered a presentence report returnable the first day of the January term of Circuit Court which convenes January 9.
Clifton Deal alias Sonnie Deal, faces three charges of breaking and entering and one of arson. This case has been pending for some time. J. W. Fletcher was appointed by the court to act as council for the defendant and a trial by jury has been set for January 17.
Library Board Meets
The Board of Trustees of the Rappahannock Library met at the home of the Chairman ^Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., on Friday, evening, November 4. Present were Mr, T. J. Pillar Mr. Irvin O. Wolf. Mrs. B. M. Miller and Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Miller, Treasurer, reported that enough contributions had been received to enable the Board to make plans for repairs to the foundation and floor of the library building. She also announced that Capt. William Wiener of Flint Hill has generously donated a floor furnace to the Library. This furnace Will solve the big problem of . heating the ~ building.
Now that the new roof is on the building, repairs and restoration will proceed as rapidly as funds rue available. Money is badly needed for the many things that still need to be done. Wiring, repairing the ceiling and plaster, leveling the balcony, and painting are among the improvements necessary.
