Forest Grove Dinner
Again the PTA of Forest Grove Elementary School has demonstrated that its members are willing to work for the children of the community.
Their annual harvest dinner, held November 11 at Amissville fire hall,| was well attended and much enjoyed. Many were there who had attended all of the dinners since they were started four years ago.
hood pf first quality was served buffet style. There was a great abundance of it and guests showed their app eciation, in no uncertain way.
People from all sections of the county vv4re there with their guests to enjoy ii fine meal, in an atmosphere of pospitality reminiscent of “the goodj old days.” _ The members ot the Forest Grove PTA appreciate the patronage of al|, and the fine help and generous donations which made their annpal harvest supper a great success.

The \jVToman’s Missionary Society of the Washington Baptist Church l)eld a study meeting on Tuesday toncentrating on Mexico and Latirj America. The situation in Cuba, ;in relation to missionary' work, was also reviewed.
Mrs. B. R. Cox and Mrs. Gilbert l pdike reviewed the book, “Across The Bridge” and a number of articles loaned by Mrs. Matilda Walfter, who visited with her daughter | in Mexico during the summer, were used to show some of the work done by our neighbors “Across T*he Bridge”, making the study morie interesting.
