WHEREAS, his services as Chairman and member provided sound leadership, thereby aiding the cause of public education in Rappahannock County and contributing to its progress, and
WHEREAS, he is no longer with us, having been removed by death on October 9 1960,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That in his passing, public education has lost a steadfast supporter ;
2. That the School Board will miss his constructive guidance;
3. That this Board express its sincere sympathy to Mrs. Smith and members of the family;
4. That the County School Board of Rappahannock County, Virginia, record in its official minutes this statement of appreciation of the excellent and timely services rendered by Mr. Smith and that a copy of these resolutions be sent to Mrs. Smith and a copy to the Rappahannock News.
