Woodward Jailed in Md.
Silas \Voodward, who escaped from Rappahannock County jail January 11, has been apprehended in Montgomery County, Maryland and charged with two felonies committed since he fled from jail. One charge is auto larceny ond one is housebreaking. After Woodward stands trial there, he will be returned to Rappahannock to face several charges of breaking and entering in* this county.

Forester William C Vemam of the Virginia Division of Forestry reports that so far' this year 6 orders have been placed with the Virginia Division of Forestry for a total of 17,000 trees to be planted in Rappahannock County in the spring of 1961. Orders for trees for reforestation planting have been slow in Rappahannock County this year but Forester Vernam feels that this is due to the bad winter weather which the county has been having and that as soon as the weather breaks and die first sign of warmer spring weather appears, there will be a rush for trees not only in the county but in the state. In order to be sure of getting trees when they are desired, Forester Vernam advises that landowners considering a planting project place their orders for trees as soon as possible. Technical assistance in planning a reforestation project may be had by contacting Chief Forest Warden Raymond M. Johnson, WoodviUe, Va. or by writing the Virginia Division of Forestry, Box 111, Warrenton, Va.
