Tailoring Workshop A Tailoring Workshop will be held within the next few months for homemakers in Rappahannock County. A planning meeting will be held Tuesday, January 31st at 1:30 p.m. at the Court House. Anyone interested should plan to attend this first meeting before buying materials.

Angus Calves Pay
Handsomely
Angus calves paid off handsomely for their owners ih the series of 30 feeder calf sales held last fall thoughout Virginia. The Blacks sold for $4.54 more per head on the average, than the calves of the next highest breed.
The 16,337 Angus calves in the sales brought an average of $116.73 per head and those of the next highest breed averaged $112.19 per head. More than 10,000 Angus steer calves averaged $125.80 and 5,633 Black heifers sold at an av-erage price of $100.33.
Both Angus steers and heifers were ahead of their closest competitors in average weight and average prices per pound. In addition, 10 per cent more Angus calves were graded Fancy or Choice.
The 1960 sales grossed nearly $4 million with 34,517 calves averaging $114.84 per head.
