ifty-hve million trees are available to landowner* for reforesting cutover woodlands and abandoned land. Trees cost $4.50 to $8.50 per thousand trees delivered to die landowner depending on the species of, tree to be planted with approximately 1,000 trees being needed to plant an acre of open land and about 500 trees to restock an acre of cutover land. Loblolly pine, shortleaf pine, white pine, Virginia pine, yellow poplar, black locust ' and black walnut are available.
