The heaviest bass weighed in at the Store was a 3 Vi, pounder, caught by Welton Delano of Boston, Va. The next in size was hooked by Donnie Gallihugh of Peola Mills and weighed 2 pounds.
Mr. Scearce is also holding a contest for children up to 12 years of age who catch the largest bream and bring it to the store to be weighed in.
A grand trophy will be awarded to the person catching the biggest fish during the months of June, July and August. All fish entered in the contest must be brought to Scearce Auto Supply for weighing. ! Each month a gift certificate will i be awarded winners in the bass; and bream divisions. Though June is about gone there is still time to enter the contests for July and ^August, so get out your fishing pole and head for the river.
