Sister Josie
Clanagan
Sister Josephine Clanagan Jones a native of Rappahannock, bom in 1880, passed away June 14 ktt 6:15 p.m. after a long illness. Miss Josie, as she was affectionately called, joined First Baptist Church at the early age of 12. She was a constant and dutiful member as long as she was able to attend her diurch. Sister Josie was the oldest of the Clanagan family of nine. ^ She leaves to mourn six brothers, a daughter, Mrs. Crane of New York City, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Rev. J. J. Jackson preached the funeral service, assisted by Rev. Robert C. Davis.
We will miss our sister and friend in our worship services. We loved you Sister Josie, but 'God loved you best.
