Why, in all justice and reason, should Community “X” deposit their own needs (plus) in a Blood Bank where they cannot withdraw it when required, because it has been given to an area wherein the citizens were unwilling to help themselves ?
In the Fauquier portion of the Fauquier and Rappahannock Red Cross Chapter, a sustained and determined effort has been made to organize a sufficient number of donors to insure our continued supply of this basic safeguard to health and life itself for our citizens. The success or failure of this undertaking now seems delicately balanced, the answer apparently contingent upon whether two geographical areas can be induced to carry their fair share of our total obligation.
In the delinquent Fauquier township there are positive signs indicating this present apathy will be corrected; hence the recognition of the problem among the thoughtful citizens of Rappahannock is doubly encouraging, since it presupposes a universal support so vital to the welfare of everyone within this entire Chapter.
