Princess Phone

Proves Popular

The popularity ©f the Princess phone since it was introduced a little more than a year ago is evidenced by the 25,000th installation made by The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of . Virginia.

The 25,000th installation here in Virginia was made for teenager Karen Childress, daughter of J. C. Childress of Roanoke. She chose a beige Princess.

According to local C&P manager

H. E. Lindsey, more andj more teen-agers are receiving “their very own phone” for their rooms and most of them are the Princess phone.

This compact deluxe Princess phone was initially product-tested in different localities throughout the Country. Seventy different colors were tested over a five-year period before the new phone was made available to telephone customers.

Five decorator colors were finally decided upon for the Princess and in order of color preference by customers are—white, beige, turquoise, pink and blue.

Perhaps the most popular feature of the little Princess is the illuminated dial when the receiver is lifted.

Manager H. E. Lindsey said that the compactness of the Princess, like other compact products, will continue to be in demand by the public.
