Wm. Edward Pratt
Wm. Edward Pratt of Wash ington, Va. died March 19 at the age of 74. He leaves to mourn! his wife, Mary Ellen Dennis Pratt; four children, Mrs. Edna Fletcher, Mrs. Lilly Summers, William and Wilbur Pratt.
Graveside services were held on Friday, March 23 with the Rev. Thomas Proctor conducting.
Mrs. J. P. Williams and her two daughters, Misses Geraldine and Cordelia Williams and friends of Washington, D. C. visited Mrs. Susie Majors and family Sunday.
The grey fox that has been causing so much excitement in and around Sperryville for the last few days was shot Saturday by Robert Adams, Jr. (better know as June Bug.)
Rev. Mackie McQueen from Washington, D. C. will preach at Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville on Sunday night, April 1st at 7:30. Everyone is welcome.
A Barbecue dinner will be held on the Tigers baseball field Sunday, April 1, starting at in noon. In case of bad weather the dinner will be held at Horse Shoe Inn. Plates will sell for 75c in and $1.00 out. There will also be baseball prctice from 3 to 4 p.m. All Tigers plese be present.
