RAD Auction Set For
Saturday, May 26
The Rural Area Development Committee is sponsoring a county wide auction to be held May 26 at Flat Woods packing house starting at 10:30 a.m. Committee members are soliciting donations for the auction but report articles are coming in very slowly. Anyone who has anything saleable and would like to give it for the sale may contact Mrs. G. H. Davis, Jr. at Washington or any member of the committee who are Mrs. Ray T. Cannon, Castleton; Mrs. Bradley Williams, Chester Gap; Mrs. Moffett Pullen, Flint Hill; Robert F. Estes, Sperryville; and Mrs. Jean Gallihugh, Peola Mills.
Mr. D. D. Miller will act as clerk for the sale and Mr. Joe B. Johnson is to be the auctioneer.
Please contact a member of the committee immediately so items can be secured and listed on a sale bill.
