A. P. Fotd, Culpeper Agent of the Southern Railway Company, was by the office last week. He stated that proposed bulk commodity rates soon to come before Congress under Senate bill S3234 and House of Representatives bill 11583, would mean reduced prices to farmers of this section for several commodities, particularly fertilizer and feed grains.
Mr. Ford would appreciate all interested persons meeting at the courthouse in Washington, Va. at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29th to hear an explanation of these bills and how they will affect people of this area.
