Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Hening, both members of the Garden Club, next received the tour group and, as usual, their garderf was charming and in perfect scale and harmony with the house. The plants in the wall surrounding the patio were in full bloom. Weigelia and spirea were at their peak with iris and lemon lillies in complimentary colors completing the picture.
Last but not least, was Oak Forest, home of Mrs. W. R. Williamson (described recently as Mrs. Green Thumb Williamson). The stately oaks are worth a trip there, but the drifts of iris and the rock garden plants spilling over the edge of the stone wall along with numerous other blooms can only be explained as “a sight to behold.”
In addition to the club members enjoying the tour were Mrs. Milton Grimsley, Culpeper; Mrs. A. I. Lohman, Arlington; Mrs. A. H. Buckner, Mrs. W. M. Fletcher, Mrs. Lucia Kilby and Mrs. Fan-! nie Eastham.
