Randall Updike has recently covered himself with glory for which we extend our heartiest congratulations. He won so many ribbons and trophies at the Little International Livestock Show sponsored by the VPI Block and Bridle Club he was declared Grand Champion in Fitting & Sho\ymanship. tin his modest way, a most desirable quality in itself, Randall gave me the details but I can’t re- } member them all. Included were a beautiful silver pitcher, two handsome silver bowls and a nice pigskin wallet.

He earned the Grand Championship of the entire show by winning several first places in swine and sheep classes and exhibiting the champions of these types of livestock.

His brother, Glenn, was also among the ribbon winning group of student exhibitors. Both Glenn and Randall are members of the student livestock judging teams. At the recent Southern Regional Contest held at Mississippi State, Randall stood 5th or 6th and was high score individual from Virginia. Both young men are sons of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Updike of Washington, Va., and graduates of Rappahannock High School.
