Survey Reveals Lackj

Of Nourishment

A recent survey made by the Home Economic Department of Rappahannock High School revealed that of the 249 students participating, 30 failed to eat any breakfast before coming to school. A majority of the others ate only a light meal. Of these 100 admitted that by afternoon they were tired, weary or numb. Most gave no reason for failing to eat a balanced nourishing breakfast.

The Eleventh grade had a high 95% eating breakfast while the Eighth grade lagged with only 75% eating any type breakfast.

At lunch time the Twelfth grade le^d with 83% eating lunch in the cafeteria or bringing their , lunch from home.

Nutritional studies have proved that students who eat breakfast make better grades than those who do not.
