The Town Council of Washington, Virginia, set the week of April 21 as Clean-up Week and the day of Friday, April 26, as trash Pickup Day. In the past this has been most successful and great interest has been shown so far with many citizens inquiring as to the date. ' The street light- hearing i brought ten residents to voice their disapproval of the new street lights and the council voted to have the representative of the Northern Virginia Power come and see what improvements could be made. One citizen went as far as to say that in her opinion the old lights should be replaced as they were. Other business was routine and had been discussed before but not acted upon as this was the first quorum present for several meetings.
